Former Buganda Kingdom Sports Minister, Oweek. Henry Moses Sekabembe Kiberu has called on parents to have a mindset change in order to achieve development and progress in their homes and places of work.
“We don’t have any wealth here on earth, if you want your homes to change, develop and your children to grow into strong, responsible adults in that reach the time to die when you have a smile on your face, I ask you to stop consoling yourself, feeling sorry for yourself, self-pity, you need to embrace mind change for your homes to develop” he said.

Oweek. Sekabembe made the remarks while addressing pupils and parents during the St Baanabakintu Bulama Primary School progress review day held on Sunday at the school.
“If your children don’t go to school and you opt for these political waves thinking that politics is what will change this country and if Ugandan changes tomorrow, it will flow with milk and honey, your living in a Hollywood fantasy” he noted.
Oweek. Sekabembe further urged parents to work towards attaining generational wealth for their families through adopting good practices on human resource, intellectual growth and financial resource, “It begins with generational thought, there are people who initiate and then the children and grandchildren after take it up after”.

The school head teacher Ms Sarah Nakimuli said the day is intended to show the community the milestones achieved in both infrastructure and academics during the last 25 years of the school’s existence.
“Our pupils, am proud of each of you for the discipline you have shown, your commitment is what makes our school a vibrant and exciting place to learn. As we celebrate our journey, let us remember that education is a journey not an estimation, it’s a journey of discovery both exploration and a honor to be part with all of you as I present to you the schools performance in PLE for 2019, 2022 and 2023” she said.
Ms Nakimuli said besides academics, the school has a plan to cite a playground that will help to boost games and sports as required by the new curriculum.

“In 2019 the school got 7 first grades, 1 second grade and no failure, in 2022, we got 14 first grades, 2 second grades, one third, no four or failure, in 2023 we got 8 first grades and 12 second grades, no third grade or failure” Nakimuli noted.
The school director Mr John Musoke said the school has transformed over the years to become a high performing school now from when it was first located at Abaita Ababiri where they were renting a few buildings.

“I don’t remember the exact year but it was about two weeks to the beginning of the new term when we were told that the owner of the buildings had got a bank loan and the bank was moving to reposes the buildings, that’s when we came and set up temporary structures at first before putting permanent structures over the years” he said.
Mr Musoke revealed that the school is set construct two additional storied buildings which will each have their own flush toilets to ensure the numbers at the school are all catered for.
