    The suspects upon being arrested

    Two Ugandan women are being held by Police in the west Indian Province of Goa, for alleged possession of narcotics.

    The suspects were identified by local police as Florence Ssanyu, 28, and Arisat Nabankema, 26.

    These were reportedly found with drugs including Ecstasy, Cocaine and Meth.

    Local media quoted one Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mapusa Jivba Dalvi saying the police had received a tip-off from sources that two foreign national women have been supplying drugs in the coastal region of Anjuna.

    “Based on technical surveillance, at 8.30am on February 8, the police team found two women at Onachebhat, Anjuna, who had come to supply drugs to prospective customers and they were detained at the spot,” reported the Indian Times.

    On searching them, police say they found seven grams of ecstasy worth Rs 45,000 or about Shs 2million, 10.3g of suspected cocaine worth Rs 82,400 or Shs 3.6million, and 3.4g of Meth worth Rs 34,000 or Shs 1.5million.
